Caddied at 5 British Opens, 2 US Opens, 1 US PGA. 1 Seve trophy, 1 Tavistock Cup & 2 World Cups.

Steven Sylvester - Psychologist

Using his experiences of talking to and playing with some of the best cricketers the world has ever seen, Steven began to research his passion: Understanding how people 'tick' under pressure

This experiential learning was combined with academic intensive training to become a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. This gave him immediate rigour, credibility and professionalism.

Steven then started to consult with numerous elite athletes helping them develop into world class performers.

Mark Pearson - Coach

I've been a PGA Professional for 23 years, Amongst other appointments I have been Club Professional At Dore and Totley GC(Sheffield) and Cookridge Hall GC (Leeds) before becoming Head Teaching Professional and Academy Manager at The Belfry. During this period I gave over 40,000 golf lessons from beginners to elite players in learning my trade. I am currently Director of Instruction at the 5 Star DeVere Oulton Hall resort in Leeds although spend the majority of my time coaching players on the PGA European Tour.

My beliefs as a coach are very much a 'no stone unturned approach' with the balance of what we practice almost being as important as how we do it. I'm a big fan of statistics and measuring performance and its component parts so that we can make educated decisions on how develop a players game. I also believe in using every modern piece of technology available to assist the development process.

I met Phil at the European Tour School in 1997 while I was working with his good friend Neil Cheetham and we started work in February of 1998. Little did I realise that we were in for such an incredible journey from a promising regional Pro' to one of Europe's leading players. Phil's great strengths are his work ethic and ability to stay focused on the process of developing his game. He is now an accomplished ball striker at the highest level and on his day one the best putters on the European Tour. I'm sure we haven't yet seen the best of Phil and his maiden victory is surely just around the corner.
